Mr. Hepler was born Aug. 6, 1894, in Fairmount City, a son of A. J. and Luella (Stahlman) Hepler.
He was a member of the Amerlcan Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, both of New Bethlehem.
Dr. Rhys Price, pastor of New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, officiated at the services.
Surviving are his widow, Mabel (Shipe) Hepler; a son, Robert D. of Brookville; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ann Wertz of Reading; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Lower of New Bethlehem, Mrs. Mabe1 Crawford of St. Petersburg, Fla., and 5 grandchildren.
Burial was made in New Bethlehem cemetery.
