NEW BETHLEHEM - Arthur M. Hepler, 73, a retired New Bethlehem druggist, died at 6:45 am Friday in his home at 419 Penn Street, New Bethlehem.

He operated the Hepler Drug Store on Broad Street in New Bethlehem for a number of years until his retirement a few years ago. The store is now known as Plummers Drug Store.

Born November 16, 1886, in Hawthorn, he was the son of Albert J. and Louella Stahlman Hepler. He was married August 28, 1919 to Ruth Walters, who survives.

Mr. Hepler was a World War I veteran and was a member of the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and the New Bethlehem F and AM. He also held membership in the Coudersport Consistory, the Eden Royal Arch Chapter in Clarion and the Syria Temple in Pittsburgh.

He was also a member of the New Bethlehem American Legion.

Surviving besides his widow are two children, Arthur James of Bay Village, O., and Mrs. Arnold (Jane) Wise of New Bethlehem; four grandchildren, one brother, A.F. Hepler of New Bethlehem; and two sisters, Mrs. Mable Becker of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Clarence Lower of New Bethlehem.

The body was taken to the Mateer Funeral Home in New Bethlehem and removed to the family residence on Penn Street.
