Lillie Bell White, daughter of William Arthur Baugher and Nancy Ray Baugher, was Born September 22, 1885 in Putnam County, Missouri and departed this life January 15, 1972 at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for some time, but severely ill for only a short time. She was 86 years 3 month and 23 days o f age.

Lillie grew to womanhood in Putnam County, in the Graysville area, where she attended the local schools.

On April 7, 1904 she was united in marriage to Earnest Delbert White a t Unionville, Missouri. This union was blessed with 10 children, 7 of whom survive. She also raised 2 step-children, George White and Elva Shadden, giving them every loving care.

Lillie and Delbert began their married life on a farm south of Hartford, Missouri where they lived for 9 years. From there they moved to a farm north of Omaha, Missouri making that their home for 58 years. Lillie's entire life was spent in Putnam County, Missouri. The last few months, as her health failed, she spent time with her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Dell, w ho passed away June 14, 1936, an infant brother, 3 other brothers, Elmer, Roy and Alonzo Baugher. Also, 3 sisters, Eva May Baugher, Mrs. Iva Tracy and Mrs. Bessie Brown, 2 infant daughters, an adult daughter, Mrs. Dovie Gallo, who passed away June 14, 1971, one step-son, George White, one infant grandson, Terry White, one grandson, Roger Morgan who died at the age of 23, and one great-grandson, Courtney Morgan.

She is survived by the following children: Elva Shadden of Unionville ; Delcie Andrew of Unionville; Jennie Carter of Unionville; Bessie Perkins of Livonia; Lola Morgan of Ottumwa, Iowa; Reva Bartlett of Unionville; Iris Andeway of Plano, Iowa; and Delbert White of Cincinnati, Iowa. She also leaves 28 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. One brother, Virgil Baugher of Unionville, lives to mourn her passing, along with many nieces and nephews.

Lillie was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a good friend and neighbor. She enjoyed doing handwork such as crocheting, embroidery work and quilting. Her quite, pleasant disposition endeared her to friends and family alike. The courage with which she faced life's problems leaves a fine legacy for her children. She leaves many memories that will linger long in the minds of her loved ones.

Funeral services were conducted at the Husted Funeral Home Wednesday, January 19, 1972 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Clifford Hart. Interment was in the Berry Cemetery.
