Abiel Tripp Browning (1867-1957), brother of the late S. S. Browning of East Palatka, died Monday, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Humphreys in Tampa, after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held in Tampa and interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery, Palatka. Edgar Johnson-W. Carl Davis and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and the date and time will be announced later. Pioneer Lodge No. 86, F&AM, of Peniel, of which the deceased was a charter member, will conduct graveside rites.

The deceased was born in Garden Grove, Iowa, on Sept. 7, 1867, and resided for a while in Francis. He was a retired school teacher.

Besides the daughter with whom he made his home, survivors include two sons, Ralph, Houston, Texas, and Louis, West Palm Beach, and daughter, Miss Sarah Browning, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; 9 grandchildren and a number of nieces and great-nieces and nephews in Putnam County.
