HURRICANE Elmer Alonzo Smith, 82, died Nov. 22, 1990. He was born April 30, 1908, in New York, N.Y. to Elmer A. and Ruth Voorhees Smith. Married Elaine Minnie Butler Sept. 13, 1983 in Applegate, Calif.
He spent his early years in New York and Michigan. His adult life was spent in California. He moved to Hurricane in 1986. He enjoyed playing the violin. He was a deacon in the Seventh Day Adventist church.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine of Hurricane.
Funeral services will be held Monday in the Campell's Hurricane Mortuary chapel at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the mortuary from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery.
