ABBEVILLE, SC:
Ruth Octavia "Tavie" Rosenberg Guy, 73, of 403 Byrnes Ave., died Friday, May 28, 2004 at her home.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Soloman Herbert and Ruth Octavius Schwerin Rosenberg.
She was a retired LPN and a graduate of Converse College where she earned a B.A. in English.

She was active in the American Cancer Society, the Abbeville Opera House and was of the Jewish faith.

Survivors include 3 sons, John L. Guy Jr., Ponte Verda, Fla., George V. Guy and Edward P. Guy, both of Abbeville; two daughters, E. Harby Williams, Abbeville, Linda Guy, Woodland, Ga.; a brother, Dr. George V. Rosenberg, Abbeville; a sister, Cecile Moise, Sumter, S.C.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home.

There will be a private family memorial service.
