CO H 85th Inf. Reg. N. Y. Volunteers. Was wounded and taken prisoner May 31st 1863. Rejoined company Oct 6th 1862 from imprisonment. Was admitted to Chesapeake Hospital Dec 28th 1862 for treatment for diarrhea. Died in Chesapeake Hospital, Fort Monroe, VA January 13, 1863 from Typhoid Fever.
