Thomas R. "Tommy" Thompson, 85, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at his residence in Tuscola, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the Edwards Funeral Home 400 S. Main St., Tuscola, IL. Rev. Kenneth Roeder will officiate. Burial will be in the Tuscola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at the funeral home.
Tommy was born July 16, 1921 in Tuscola, IL. He was the son of Everett B. and Oda (Berklin) Thompson. He married Mary E. Albritton on September 2, 2000 in Tuscola, IL.
Tommy is survived by his wife Mary E. Thompson of Tuscola, IL; one stepson, Julio Piscopo of Sterling Heights, MI, five step-daughters Justine Vogel and her husband Robert of Clinton Twp, MI, Nancy Hobson and her husband Joseph of Troy, MI, Mary Ann Clark of Clinton Twp, MI, Darlene Decker of Sterling Heights, MI and Vicki Hurford of St. Clair Shores, MI; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
His parents and his fist wife preceded him in death.
Tommy was a Navy veteran of WWII and a 60 year member of the Tuscola American Legion.
He farmed and raised cattle in the Tuscola area for several years.
