Mrs. Emma Downs

Mrs Emma Loretta Downs, 78, died Tuesday at
her home, 939 Wabash. She was born
May 7, 1880, at Lincoln, Neb., and had
lived in Topeka 37 years. She was a member
of the Otterbein Evangelical-United
Brethren Church and the Royal Neighbors.

She is survived by her husband,
James A. Downs, of the home; three
daughters, Mrs. Genava (sic) Crabb,
Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs Opal Anders
and Mrs Julia Jameson,both of Topeka;
a son, Russell Downs, Topeka;
four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren,
and a brother, Harvey Keim, Topeka.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Thursday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary
with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
