Seabrook - Frank J. Palazzo, Sr., 93, a resident of Seabrook for 46 years, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood.
He was born in Leominster, MA January 29, 1917 the son of the late Frank L. and Florence. (Fuller) Palazzo.
He was a WWII veteran, serving as a Sergeant with the US Army's 88th Engineer Heavy Pontoon Battalion, and participated in battles and campaigns of Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and, Central Europe.
Mr. Palazzo was the husband of Priscilla L. (Perkins) Palazzo and with his wife owned and operated the former Seabrook Donut Shop.
He served the town of Seabrook, South Hampton and Kensington as a two term Representative to the General Court of the State of New Hampshire; was a member of Trinity United Church; a member of the Raymond E Walton American Legion Post #70 of Seabrook; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Disabled American Veterans; St. James Lodge #102 F. & A.M., of Hampton, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Portsmouth & Dover, NH Consistory Valley of Nashua and the Bektash Temple Shrine, Concord.
In addition to his wife of 67 years, family members include his daughter, Priscilla L. Johnston and her husband Albert of Dover, his son, Frank J. Palazzo, Jr. and eight grandchildren, Derek, Ashley, Kevin, Keith, Kenneth, Andrew, Ginger and Frank. He was the son of Frank L. Palazzo and Malvina Florence Fuller Palazzo.
Visiting hours were March 18, 2010 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Services were held March 19, 2010 in Trinity United Church, Lafayette Road, Seabrook. Interment will be at a later date in the Hillside Cemetery, Seabrook.
