Estelle O'Boyle Ryan was born in Elroy Wisconsin in 1888. She was the eighth of eleven children. She attended college in Madison Wisconsin and began teaching. She later followed her sisters and mother to Cheyenne Wyoming where she met and married her husband Lawrence Francis Ryan. They moved to Los Angeles where their daughter Mary Margaret was born. The family moved back to Cheyenne in 1941. Estelle's later years were spent in Tucson Arizona with her daughter and family.
