Irene’s family was very important to her. She loved her grandchildren. She worked many jobs before retiring from the Attica Long Term Care. She was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church of the St Joan of Arc Parish Community. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing bingo.
On Jan 1, 2015, Irene passed away at the Harper Hospital at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Leona Pauley; daughter-in-law, Suni Younce; brother, Leo; sisters: Evelyn, Barbara, Madelyn, Margaret and Sister Yvonne.
Irene is survived by her children: Joseph C Younce (1943), Robert Anthony "Bob" Younce (1948) and wife, Edith, all of Attica and Barbara Sue (1951) and husband, Lanny Voorhees of Maize; son-in-law, Mike Pauley; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Louella Eichmeyer of Yuma, AZ; and many other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Jan 7, 2015 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Harper. A private burial will be held at the Attica Cemetery.
