Frances A. McCarty, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away July 2, 2002 at the age of 93. She was a longtime resident of Sumner. Frances had many hobbies, including sewing, crocheting and cake decorating. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul and infant daughter Joan. Survived by her sons, John (Shirley) McCarty and Jim (Marion) McCarty; grandchildren, Janet (Dave) Buckner, Ken (Shannon) McCarty, Jennifer (Steve) Fenimore, Sandra (Wayne) Beck, Melissa (Smiley) Garver and Jim Wanke; and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 1 PM at the Abundant Life Foursquare (Assembly of God) Church, Orting. Arrangements by Powers Funeral Home.
