Lieutenant Colonel David Bryce Linton M.D., 51, and Patricia Harwood Linton, 50, passed away Monday, September 1, 1997 in an automobile accident.

Bryce was born July 26, 1946 in Payson, Utah to James Ray Linton and Louise Winter. He served an LDS mission in New Zealand from 1966-1968. He married Patricia Harwood for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 27, 1969. He served as an LDS Bishop in Nuremberg, Germany.

Patricia Harwood was born December 4, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Melvin H . Harwood and Maxine Harmer. She graduated from the University of Utah in the field of education. After their marriage Patricia taught school while Bryce completed a degree in medicine and entered the Army, specializing in orthopedic surgery.

Pat channeled her love and teaching skills from the classroom to her family as she reared four happy children: James (Mayerling), Todd(Chalon), Erin and Justin. Both Pat and Bryce led a life filled with love and devotion to those around them. They opened their house and hearts to help many feel as though they had a home away from home. Their love of family, friends, and life established a heritage that will be cherished by all who are to follow. They are true disciples of Christ.

They are survived by their four children, their parents, and brothers and sisters, Dr. Dale (Stephanie) Linton, Morris (Jane) Linton, Cynthia Linton (Cary) Swenson and Jay (Marianne) Harwood, Kevin (Kellee) Harwood, and Beverly Harwood (Don) Curtis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6, 1997 at 12:00 Noon at the Salt Lake Millcreek Stake Center, 4220 South 420 East, Murray, Utah. Friends and family may visit the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, on Friday, September 5, 1997 from 6-8 p.m. and attend the viewing at the Stake Center from 10:30- 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
