Bertha Madere Hymel, a native of Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, and a resident of Laplace, Louisiana, died Saturday 24 Apr 1965 at age 80 years. She was the wife of the late Thomasin Hymel and the mother of Odette, Etienne and Jules Hymel, Mrs Peter Brady, Mrs Richard Madere, Mrs Hilda Nunn, all of Laplace, Mrs Edmond Bourgeois of Lutcher, Louisiana, Mrs Frank Dufresne of Norco, Louisiana, Mrs Herbert Braud of Metairie, Louisiana, Mrs George Kleinschmidt of New Orleans and the late Paul and Lionel Hymel. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Services were Monday 26 Apr 1965 at St Joan of Arc Church, Laplace, with interment in St Peter Cemetery, Reserve, Louisiana.
