Green River clergyman Takes Post in Florida
GREEN RIVER (AP); The Rev. Henry Schellinger, pastor of the Church of Immaculate Conception at Green River for 40 years, has been named chaplain of a new novitiate of Catholic sisters in Florida.
Father Schellinger left Monday for his new assignment as chaplain for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Florida at Jensen Beach, Fla.
A native of Holland, Father Schellinger came to Wyoming in 1905(sic), and served in parishes at Cheyenne and Carneville, near Sheridan, before coming here in 1913.

CATHOLIC PRIEST DIES IN SLEEP AT STUART HOME
Father Henry Schellinger, 73, chaplin(sic) of St. Joseph’s Noviate(sic) of Sewall’s Point, died in his sleep early Sunday morning at his home at the noviate(sic) located on the former W. R. Leach estate. Death was attributed to coronary thrombosis.
Rosary service was conducted at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the noviate(sic) and Requiem Mass was concucted at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Stuart, with the Rev. John F. McKeown, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cheyenne, Wyo. with Scobee-Vogel Funeral Home, West Palm Beach, in charge of Local arrangements.
A native of Holland, Father Schellinger came to this country as a young man and served 47 years as pastor of the Catholic Church at Green River, Wyo. He came to Stuart in May, 1953 and lived at the Stuart rectory several months while his home at the noviate(sic) was under construction. He is survived by a brother in Cheyenne.
