Homegoing services for Mrs. Carrie Romelda Bunch Cotton of 4212 E. Osborne Avenue who ascended into Heaven on Friday, April 9th will be held on Saturday, April 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Friendship M.B. Church, 3025 E. Emma Street, Rev. Madison Murray, pastor, with Rev. Dr. Victor Ball, officiating. Interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Carrie Romelda Bunch Cotton was born November 27, 1952, to the union of Nathaniel and Annie Bell Bunch. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County, graduating from Brewster Adult High School in 1971. She was a dedicated employee of 36 years with the School Board of Hillsborough County retiring June 30, 2009. She was an active member of Oak Hill M.B. Church, where she served on the Usher Staff until her health failed. Carrie was known for her hearty laughter and fun-loving personality. Carrie's memory will be forever cherished by her husband of 41 years, Freeman Cotton, Jr., one loving daughter, Chandra Cotton; two dedicated sons, Freeman N. Cotton and Andrew Cotton; eight grandsons, Freeman N. Cotton, Jr., Tony Stubbs, Jr., Nathaniel Cotton, Carlos Cotton, Nathan Cotton, Nate Cotton, Yoseph Israel, Yirmyah Israel; four granddaughters, Ariel Doston (Anthony), Nariel Cotton, Noshalin Cotton, Aniyah Israel; one great-granddaughter, Ariana Doston, one great-grandson, Antony Doston; one brother, Alvin Bunche (Mary), three aunts, Josephine Bridges, Annie Jane Bunch, Bernice Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Carrie Williams and Jackie Jones; two brothers-in-law, William Owens and Robert Reid; special cousins, Achleese Stewart; and a host of other family and friends, Alma Randolph William Jackson, Betty Smith, Annette Gamble, Colon Thomas, Leon Thomas and Joe Cherry. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 16th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church at 10:45 a.m.
