Mrs. Mary S. Thyng, widow of the late Cyrus K. Thyng, of Shapleigh, passed away Friday, November 21st, at the home of her daughter in Waterboro, after a brief illness from heart failure. She was born in Waterboro 74 years ago. She is survived by three sons, Owen E. of Shapleigh, Arthur A., living in California, and Eleazer Thyng, of Newfield, one daughter Mrs. Annie Welch of Waterboro, besides several grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. O. W. Stuart from the Free Baptist church. Several appropriate selections were sung by Mr. Stuart. The body was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the family lot in Shapleigh.
