Bill Lucas, 76, of Taylorsville died at 1:37 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Lucas was a retired pipe fitter and was a member of Local No. 440 Pipe Trades union, an organization he belonged to for more than 50 years. He also was a member of Stoney Lonesome Motorcycle Club, was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors.
Born in Linton March 13, 1931, Mr. Lucas was the son of Sherman and Clara Lucas. He married Janet Stewart Feb. 4, 1956.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Becky Browne of Columbus and Sherry Moir of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Dean and Derek R. Daggett and Jessie and Jake Browne; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Brittni, Christian, Derek Alan and Ryan Nicole Daggett; and brothers, Sherman Lucas Jr. of Columbus and Robert Lucas of Seymour.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Amber Ford and Debra Joan Lucas; and a brother, Norman Lucas.
Funeral Information
FUNERAL: Will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Michael Lucas officiating.
CALLING: Will be from noon until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
