James Frew, 66, of Frew Rd. Ellwood City (Slippery Rock Twp.) died on Tuesday, April 20 at his residence following a brief illness.

Born September 26, 1943 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Anna Withers Frew. Mr. Frew was a lifelong dairy farmer. He was a life member of the Harmony Baptist Church. James enjoyed square dancing, horseback riding, and hosting hay rides for church events. His most cherished time was spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Stole Frew, children: Brenda (Curt) Weatherby of West Middlesex, Spencer (Carrie) Frew of Ellwood City, James Frew of Ellwood City, Kimberly Frew of New Castle, Christopher Frew of Wampum, sister, Jean Chrobak of Pulaski, and four grandchildren; Kelli and Nicole Weatherby, Tyler Frew and Kristen Frew "Pap Pap's Little Sweetie".

He was preceded in death by his parents

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at the Harmony Baptist Church on Friday, April 23 at 11:00 A.M. with his pastor, Rev. James Hockenberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 2656 Wilmington Rd. New Castle, Pa.
