ANDREA KAY MARTIN, 29, joined her Heavenly Father on Monday April 19, 2010 at her home in Houston. Andrea was born March 29, 1981 in Houston. She attended Taylor High School where she was a pacesetter and cheerleader. Andrea received her Bachelor of Science at TCU in communications. She was a cheerleader and a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. After college, she was employed by T3 Advertising in Austin. Later, she worked for Irwin Mortgage Company as an account executive in Austin and Houston. She traveled extensively during her lifetime, and lived in Asia and Europe. She bravely and gracefully fought a long courageous battle with leukemia. Never once did she complain throughout her battle but continually worried about everyone else. Andrea touched many lives and will be deeply missed. Andrea is survived by her loving husband, John C. Martin, IV; parents, Robert Lynn and Kathleen Brown Luthringer; sister, Kristin Schaefer and husband James; nephew, Levi; mother and father-in-law, Betty W. and John C. Martin, III; sister-in-law, Mary Martin; loving dog, Zeus; grandparents, Verline Luthringer, Oscar and Ethel Brown, Sybil Martin and Richard Walls; numerous relatives and friends. Friends and family members are welcome to visit from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will take place on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. at the Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway, Houston, Texas 77057 in the sanctuary. A Committal Ceremony prior to the memorial service will take place at 10 A.M. in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Reflection Lakes Estates.
