Mr. William Jeffries, Sr., a well-known farmer, residing in Elk Neck, died at an
early hour on Monday morning last after a lingering illness. Mr. Jeffries was
68 years of age, and had resided in Cecil county nearly all of his life. He was
a good and respected citizen. He leaves two sons, Messrs. Herman Jeffries of
Elkton, and Wm. Jeffries of Elk Neck, and a daughter.
