Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Holloway Cemetery near Dorchester, for John C. Crosby, 77, who died Sunday at 8:05 p.m. at his home in Dorchester. He was a farmer. Rev. Hubert Long, pastor of Dorchester Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Holloway Cemetery, directed by Barrett Funeral Home.
Mr. Crosby was a native of New Albany, Miss. and came to Texas 48 years ago. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, John Henry Crosby of Dorchester and Hubert Crosby of California; a daughter, Mrs. J.G. Blythe of Tom Bean; a sister, Mrs E.C. Hunkepiller of Charleston, Ark.; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
