Florence Eads, 83, died Thursday, March 23, 1967, in her Arthur home where she had been a resident for six years. She was born February 24, 1884. Mrs. Eads was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Beckman. She was married to John D. Eads, former president of the State Bank of Arthur, on March 6, 1911. Mr. Eads died on January 27, 1958.
She was preceded in death by a son, Samuel, in 1926. Surviving are 12 nieces and nephews. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Arthur Chapter No. 427, order of the Eastern Star for 50 years. Funeral services were held on Saturday at the Fleming Funeral Home, with Rev. Glen Jones officiating. Burial was in the Arthur cemetery. Pallbearers were Ernie Freese, Wendell Woods, Frank and Howard Cundiff, Eddie Trummel and Robert Hood. Her obituary appeared in the local Arthur newspaper.
