My Paternal Great Grandfather, Shellie LaFayette "Fate" Braxton and his wife Mary Pearl nee Bottoms

Papa Braxton had a twin brother named "Fess" William Lafestus Braxton who is buried at Pondtown Church Cemetery in Geneva County, Alabama, near their parents John William Braxton and Willie Ann Durden Braxton.

Front Row-sitting: Mom's sister, my Aunt Mattie Sorrells, little girl standing: Mom's baby sister Aunt Eura Braxton (later on became Mrs. Turner Outlaw), sitting; Grandpa & Grandma Braxton (John William & Willie Ann); standing between them: my oldest brother, Eubert; standing on the other side of Grandma; Cliffie Shirley, sitting; Aunt Cora (nee Braxton) Shirley holding Leon Shirley, standing by her; Esker Lee Shirley (all three her children); she had 3 more later. Boy standing by Esker Lee: Uncle Cecil Braxton, Mom's baby brother.
Back Row: Uncle H. Sorrells holding son, Johnny, Dad & Mom (Walter & Maggie Kembro), Aunt Cleo (later became Mrs. Esther Lisenby), Uncle Tim Shirley, and twins Uncles Fate (jacket closed, tie straight) and Fess (jacket open,tie askew).

My Uncle Shellie LaFayette "Fate" Braxton and his wife Mary Pearl nee Bottoms and their oldest daughter, Ruth.

Uncle Fate had a twin brother named "Fess" William Lafestus Braxton who is buried at Pondtown Church Cemetery in Geneva County, Alabama, near their parents John William Braxton and Willie Ann Durden Braxton.
