Services for Mr. Tom Griffin Hobbs,94, of Dexter will be held today at 2 p.m. in the Dexter Assembly of God Church with burial in the Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Brad Nowell will officiate.
Mr. Hobbs was born in Dexter and was the son of the late James and Mary Griffin Hobbs. He lived in Dexter his whole life and was a farmer. He was a faithful member of the Dexter Assembly of God Church for more than 68 years where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board and Sunday School Superintendent.
Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie Bass Hobbs; brothers, John Hobbs and James Hobbs and sisters, Bertha Bass and Winnie Hobbs. He died
Sunday.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Bill Davies of Macon; brother, Argene Hobbs of Dexter and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family may reached at the residence of Vivian and Bill Davies in Macon. Flowers will be accepted, and memorial donations may be made to the Dexter Assembly of God Church, 201 W. Main Street, Dexter, GA 31019. Adams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
