Jack Walton Blaker, age 75, longtime Atoka resident, born August 22, 1922 at Antlers, OK to Thomas Alexander and Nannie Kathryn (Surrett) Blaker, passed away Sunday, March 8, 1998 at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, Sherman, TX.

Jack was raised on a farm in the Prairie View area. He served his country in the US Navy as a pharmacist's mate first class during WWII. He owned and operated Jack's Menswear in Atoka for over 30 years and owned the Atoka downtown mall.

He was a member of the DAV, VFW, American Legion, Masonic Lodge 4, and the Rod and Gun Club in Atoka. He served as President of the Atoka Chamber of Commerce, and was voted Man of the Year in Atoka in 1968.

Jack married Ila Juanita Case on March 20, 1949 in Atoka, OK. She survives him. Also surviving him are their children: Teresa Gaye (Frank) Dodderer, Regina Kaye (Michael) Terry, Twyla Rae Deupree, and Terrell Jack Blaker (Barbara Ann); grandchildren: Jay Dewain Dodderer, Jennifer Gaye Farley (Stanley), Whitney Rebekah Hall, Bethany Kaitlin Hall, Torre Layne Deupree, Talia Rae Deupree, and Logan Terrell Blaker; brother Homer Howard Blaker (Tommie Jane), sisters Georgia Lee Gargis, and Ruth Mann (Harvey).

Jack was predeceased by his parents, sister Alcie McCary, and brothers Zaney, Ed, and T.E. Blaker.
