Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 12 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home, Monroe where a rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday. She will lie in state at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church where the Mass of the Resurrection celebrating her life will be at 11 a.m. The Rev. William Fisher, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be at Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit.
Born November 1, 1934 in Detroit she was the daughter of Christian R. and Genevieve (Kubit) Siess. She married Wayne "Frank" Hoig October 5, 1974 in Allen Park, Michigan. He preceded her in death May 3, 1995.
Dolores was an Office Administrator for Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. She retired after almost 25 years of employment.
A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monroe she came to Monroe in 1977.
Surviving are two sons, George C. (Kimberly) Meyers of Monroe and Scott A. (Judy) Meyers of Dearborn Heights; two daughters, Jeanette "Smokie" (Mike) Asher of Pinckney, Michigan and Eleanor S. (Brian) Johnson of League City Texas; two sisters, Beverly Ketchum of East China Twp., Michigan and Sandra J. Vance of Monroe; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild, Damon Meyers and one great-grandchild, Kirsten Norman.
