Funeral Services for "Mac" will be held February 9, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida with Rev. R.L. Polk and Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Vistation will be held Friday, Feb. 8, 2002 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Jenkins was a Toll Testman for the United Telephone Company for two years, served in the National Guard, Member and Deacon of the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church, graduated from Avon Park High School in 1961 and had been a lifelong resident of Avon Park, Florida. His parents were T.J (Tom) Jenkins and Vera (Fowler) Jenkins. Mac was born in Cherry Lake, Madison County, Florida. Survivors include his wife, Meri Jenkins of Avon Park, Florida; son, Kevin Jenkins of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters, Susan Petersen of Avon Park, Florida, and Amy Brown of Indianapolis, Indiana; brothers, Thomas Jenkins of Avon Park, Florida and Carlton Jenkins of Tampa, Florida; sister, Mary Lou Stewart of Avon Park, Florida and four grandchildren. Please no flowers. Contributions may be made to the Avon Park Lakes Baptist Church Building Fund. Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home-Avon Park, in charge of arrangements.
