Charles Leland Lewis was born on March 10, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Wilbur and Maria McClusky Lewis. Mr. Lewis was in band and played the coronet. Mr. Lewis was a Corpral in the US Army and served Stateside. He served as Post Commander of the Rossville American Legion.He was also a member of the St. John's Luthern Church in Champaign, Illinois. He was married in 1964 to Glenda Jean Miller. The Lewis' had 4 children, Theresa, Anna, Tony, and Scott. Mr. Lewis was loved by all who knew him. Mrs Lewis was a fan of The Chicago Bears, The Cubs, and The Fighting Illini. He became ill with cancer and lost his fight on April 18th, 1985. He was proceeded in death by his father and brother. Mr Lewis left behind his wife, his children, and a host of grandchildren.
