Mrs. Rosar

Funeral services for Alice Rice Rosar, 77, of Cedar Park, were held Saturday in the Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Chapel with the Rev. Dave Murray officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Rosar died Thursday at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin.
She was born March 6, 1911, in Granger. She was a resident of Lampasas County until 1969. She married Ozias Rice, Oct. 14, 1928, in Lampasas.
Mrs. Rosar was a retired PBX operator for the Austin State Hospital and was a member of the Baptist church and the ladies' VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by one son, Bill Rice of Georgetown; on daughter, Bettie Jo Blomquist of Round Rock; one sister, Charlie Cathey of Arlington; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Directors was in charge of all arrangements.
