Bruce S. Beightol, 79, a former Mingoville merchant, died in Latrobe Area Hospital Thursday, Sep 10. He was born July 29, 1891, in Marion Township, a son of Thomas and Alice Kern Beightol. He was married to the former Myrtle I. Deitrich, who died in 1964. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Rober Elder of New Alexandria RD1, with whom Mr. Beightol made his home for the past three years, four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ora Harter, St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the BPOE of Bellefonte. [Centre Democrat 17 Sep 1970]
