Bertha G. Ravenscraft-Perkins, 84, of Ashland passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Boone Hospital Center.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Praise Assembly of God Church, 4300 Clark Lane, Columbia, Mo., 65202. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at the church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bertha was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Columbia to John William and Elizabeth (Pauley) Ravenscraft. She married Harold Finis Perkins on May 21, 1943, at First Christian Church in Columbia. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1993.

Bertha was a homemaker after retiring from Ellis Fischel Cancer Center on Sept. 1, 1982. She was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church.

Bertha is survived by two sons, Harold W. Perkins and Michael B. Perkins (Deborah); one daughter, Cynthia C. (Vance) Perkins; 10 grandchildren, Michelle (Johnathan), Tara, Chris (Stephanie), Felicity, Ronnie, Lacy (Sam), Gary, Corri (Thomas), Rhiannon (Kris)and Gary; 12 great-grandchildren, Drew, Katie, Zachary, Paige, Charlotte, Darrell, Katlin, Nathan, Lauren, Jordan, Joey and Jessica; one brother, Ralph (Rose) Ravenscraft; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Emmett Ravenscraft and Norris Ravenscraft; five sisters, Nadine Melloway, Clara Richardson, Edna Sims, Anna Belle Davidson and Mary Kite; and one grandson, Harold Wayne Perkins Jr.

The family of Bertha would like to express their gratitude to the director and staff of Ashland Villa for going above and beyond in the level of care and service and treating the entire Perkins family like their own and to Boone Hospital Center ICU doctors and staff for their compassion and care.
