Amy Oleta Wade, 91, of Columbia died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, at Boone Hospital Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wade was born Feb. 24, 1912, in Boone County to Wilford N. and Mattie L. Sandker Stone.
She married Robert A. Wade on March 17, 1932, in Boone County, and he preceded her in death.
She was a member of Dripping Springs Christian Church in Columbia.
Survivors include five sons, Vernon Wade and Joe Wade, both of Columbia, Dale Wade of Kansas City, Dennis Wade of Carthage and Russell Wade of Harrisburg; four daughters, Glenda Stahl of Catron, Florine Jenkins and Cindy Spires of Columbia and Barbara Wehmeyer of California, Mo.; three brothers, James Stone of Columbia, Nelson Stone of Kansas City and Wayne Stone of Bucklin; four sisters Lavenia Lee and Sharon Sheets of Columbia, Nina Austin of Springfield, Ohio, and Mary Black of Lee's Summit; 26 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Fay Hopper; a sister, Margeruete Stone; and a great-grandson all also preceded her in death.
Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Woodlandville Methodist Church, 9801 W. Wilhite Road, Rocheport, Mo., 65279.
