Matthew Allen Hanson, age 50, passed away April 8, 2008 in Spring Branch, Texas.
He was a loving husband, father, uncle and generous friend. His family was the love of his life; nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his children. He taught them the way to Christ through a living example. Matthew loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was an Elder at Crown of Life Lutheran Church. As a true child of God he loved helping others.
Matthew was a program manager with Lockheed Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Madge Hanson; nephew, Marcus Ewing; and cousin, Allen Collins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Lisa Hanson; his children, Matthew, Cara, Joseph, and Joshua; his sister, Laura Aerne; niece, LeAnne Hoffman; aunt and uncle, Warren and Mildred Collins; mother-in-law, Rosemary Barber; father-in-law, Bobby Erickson; sisters-in-law, Katherine Keith, Lori Erickson, and Pamela Burden; niece, Brittney Burden; nephews, Bobby Ray Ewing, Aaron Burden; and cousins, Curt Collins and Patrick Collins.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up to honor Matt and further the Word of Christ at any Broadway Bank: Elizabeth Hanson and the Hanson Family fund.
