BOISE--Charles Ward Despain, 83, Boise, former resident of Granite, died of natural causes December 2 in a Boise hospital.

Born May 23, 1883. Granite, to William Joseph and Sarah Catherine Egbert Despain. Married Elsie Fryer September 24, 1913, Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served LDS mission to New Zealand. Miner, Alta, Park City. Former member bishopric. Granite LDS Ward.

Survivors: widow, sons, daughters, Joseph W. C. Ward, both St. George, Washington County; Leo F., Salt Lake City; Merland F., Placentia, California; Mrs. Amos (Verdant) Warren, Moses Lake, Washington; Mrs. Everett A.
