Mrs. Ida McCready, 79, of Eliasville, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.B. Oxord.

Mrs. McCready lived on a ranch six miles north of Crystal Falls for many years. The remainder of her residence had been in Eliasville, Texas.

She married H.S. McCready on 19 October 1895 at Childress, Texas, where they operated a general store before coming to Young County in 1896.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Rebekah Lodge and Eastern Star

Services were held at the Eliasville Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Roy McCall, the pastor of Haskell Presbyterian Church. Rev. McCall is a former pastor of the Eliasville Presbyterian Church. Mrs. McCready had been a member of the Eliasville Presbyterian Church for many years and when the church disbanded, she placed her membership with the First Presbyterian Church at Graham.

Survived by daughter - Mrs. Oxford; two grandsons - Henry E. Oxford and Duane B. Oxford; one sister - Mrs. Lucy Anderson.
