NORFOLK - Maria Olora Daniels, 62, died June 25, 2006, at her residence in Athens,
Tenn. A native
of Baltimore,
Md., and a
daughter of the
late Joseph and
Maria Meacher,
she had been a
resident of Athens, Tenn., for the past 13 years and was a former resident of Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Doyle "Bucky" Daniels of Athens, Tenn.; one brother, Joseph Meacher Jr. of Virginia Beach; one daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Bruce Bauer of Columbia, Md.; one son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Lori Barrett of Norfolk; two stepsons, David Daniels of Riceville, Tenn., and Rodney Daniels of Evansville, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Leigh Ann Daniels and special friend, Shane Moses, of Calhoun, Tenn. and Melissa Cortney of Evansville, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Ashley Bauer of Columbia, Md., Courtney and Caitlyn Barrett of Norfolk, Va., Brittany and Brooke Daniels of Athens, Tenn., Zachary Moses of Calhoun, Tenn., Michael and Danielle Cortney of Evansville, Ind.; nieces, Lauren and Maria Meacher of Virginia Beach; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. A funeral will be presided by Father Venancio R. Balarote Jr. of St. Pius X Church, Friday at 11 a.m. in the Woodlawn Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.woodlawngroup.com .
