Civil War Union Naval Officer. Served in the US Navy during the Civil War of 1861-65 and was acting Captain of the USS Wabash. After the Civil War he Moved to Nevada and Settled in Carson City and soon was a Partner in a Local Hotel & Saloon in which they both did quite well. He sold his intrest in the Hotel & Saloon in 1902 he retired and in his later years fell on hard times and lived in the Old Soldiers Home near Carson City Nevada were he collected a US Gov. Penison of $22 a Month until died of Old Age in 1912. He was buried in the Grand Army Of The Republic Section of The Lone Mountain Cemetery on a very cold January 1912 afternoon during a heavy snow fall.
