MERCED - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Clare Barr "Duke" Bragonier, 58, who died Wednesday in a local hospital hospital. Burial will be in the Haven of Rest Cemetery.
A native of Omaha, Neb., he lived in Merced since 1948. He was owner and founder of Donjean Rug and Upholstery Cleaners, and was a member of the Merced Chamber of Commerce and the National Institute of Rug Cleaning. He was a former member of the Merced Lions Club.
He leaves his widow, Pauline; a son, Donnie Bragonier of Merced, and a daughter, Mrs. Jeanie Simpson of Clovis.
Services are under direction of the Stratford Evans Merced Chapel.
The family requests that any remembrances be given to St. Paul's Lutheran church or the American Cancer Society.
