Arline G. Parker, 94, died Jan. 27, 2004, in Parkway Health and Rehabilitation Center, Stuart, Florida.

She was born in Orrington, Maine, and moved to Florida in 1951.

Before retirement in 1972, she worked for the United States Postal Service in Miami Shores and Little River, and was postmaster in Bayside, Maine, in the 1950s and 1960s.

Mrs. Parker was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Stuart, where she was active in the Naomi Circle and XYZ.

She was an avid bridge player.

Survivors include her daughter, Pauline Parker of Stuart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Parker; and sister, Helen Puffer Arnold.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Martin and St. Lucie Inc., 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Jan. 30 at First United Methodist Church, Stuart, Florida.

Burial will be at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor, Maine.

Arrangements are by Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.
