Mrs. Bertha Belle Lyman, 88, of Huntsville, Ark., died Sept. 27, 2004, at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville. She was born August 13, 1916, at Boston, Ark., the daughter of Willard A. and Anna McFee Carpenter. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the widow of Harlen Joseph Lyman, who preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1985.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Kathy Lyman of Huntsville, and Earl and Diana Lyman of Springdale; one grandson, David Lyman of Springdale; and three granddaughters, Miss Brittany Lyman and Miss Kendra Lyman, both of Huntsville, and Miss Sarah Lyman of Springdale.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Carpenter and the Rev. Jim Hepler officiating. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Pallbearers will be: Gary Carpenter, Rick Whorton, Jerry Ledbetter, Connie Lyman, Leon Lyman and Jim Lyman. Honorary pallbearers will be: Claud Carpenter, Richard Lyman, Darrel Tisdale, Ronnie Whorton, Charles Gurley and Claud Eaton. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
