Mary Louise Woodruff Richey, 94, of Monmouth died at 2:05 A.M. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg.
She was born January 29, 1916 in Ray, IL the daughter of George and Maggie Mae (Wright) Woodruff. She was raised and educated in Schyler County area.
Mary married Ross Richey in Tylerville, Mo. on Feb. 3, 1934 and he died Nov. 24, 1988.
Mary worked at Nickleberry's meat plant in Bushnell. She also worked as a home health care worker in McDonough Co for 30 years.
She enjoyed camping and gardening.
Surviving family include her daughter, Bonnie (Kermit) Wainman of Galesburg; step daughter, Doris Ebbing of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo; grandchildren, Joie (Julius) Cokel of Monmouth, Jean Main of Galesburg, Jerry Wainman of Jacksonville, IL and Butchie Wainman of Monmouth; several great grandsons, great great grandsons and 1 great great great granddaughter; several step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Barb Trego and one grandson, John Wainman; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. Mark Horn officiating. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Friends may call Wednesday morning at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present one hour prior to the services.
