Deceased Name: Dale A. Carlisle
CENTERVILLE - Dale A. Carlisle, 76, of Centerville, died with family present at the Mary McCarthy Care Center, after a long battle with MDS.
Born and raised in Watertown, he was the beloved husband of Ann (O'Brien) Carlisle for 53 years; father of Sharon Carlisle of Centerville, Michael Carlisle and his wife, Ellen (Darling), of Medway, Mary Ellen Lahiff and her husband, Daniel, of Hingham, Cathleen Carlisle of Centerville, and Thomas Carlisle and his wife, MaryBeth (McHugh), of Fairfield, Conn.; brother of Joan Holland of Shrewsbury, Dallas Carlisle of Arizona, and Albert Carlisle of New Hampshire. He is also survived by seven grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Eamonn and Ben Carlisle of Medway, Meaghann, Brendan, and Matthew Lahiff of Hingham, and Caitlyn and Sean Carlisle of Fairfield, Conn. Dale is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Dale and his wife, Ann, moved to Chelmsford and lived there for 21 years raising their family before moving to Centerville in 1978. He worked for a variety of electronic and manufacturing companies over the years. In his retirement years, he worked for the Barnstable school system, where he made many friends with students and teachers.
Dad will be loved always and forever, and remembered for his strength and hard work to provide for his family. He took great pride in his family and of all their accomplishments.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 22, 2009, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S. Main St., Centerville, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. There are no calling hours.
