He was a retired surveyor with the Corps of Engineers and a former employee of Lowe's.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Marines during the Korean War.
He was a member of the North Charlestown Church of God, V.F.W. Post 1427 and the Masonic Lodge in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Houchens Reynolds; step-sons, Paul Spencer, of Louisville, Tom Spencer, of Carenco. La., Steve Spencer, of Jeffersonville and Matt Spencer, of Charlestown; step-daughter, Barbara Walker, of Jeffersonville; sister, Minnie Alice Compton, of New Washington; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
