LIFE AND DEATH OF MRS. QUIRAM-Resident of Dent Community for Sixty Years, Husband, Seven Children Survive.
Dent-Funeral services for Mrs. Adolph Quiram were held Friday, March 29, at 2 p.m., from the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dent, Rev. H. Hoffman officiating.
Anna Demmer was born on August 25, 1872, and passed away March 25, 1957, at the age of 84 years and 7 months. She was confirmed in her childhood and remained a faithful member of the Lutheran church all her life.
In Dec of 1894 she was united in marriage to Adolph Stoering of Richalnd Center. They lived in Wisconsin until April of 1896 when they moved to Minnesota settling at Waterville in LeSueur County. In December of 1897 they came to Dent and settled on a farm in Star Lake Township. This union was blessed with seven children: Fred of Dent, Florence Holzman, LeCenter, Albert of Waterville; George of Riverdale, ND, and Ben of Anchorage Alaska. One son Jake, and a daughter Emma preceded her in death. Her husband passed away on October 9, 1904.
On October 8, 1911, she was united in marriage to Adolph Quiram. This marriage was blessed with two children, Carl, and Frieda [Mrs. Arnold Nibbe], both of Richville.
She is survived by her husband, 7 children, 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; also by three brothers, Charlie, Ben, and Oscar Demmer of Dent, and a sister Martha [Mrs. Wm. Weegman] of Park Rapids. Her parents, four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Those attending from a distance were: Mrs. Flora Tolzman, Mr. & Mrs. Melvin Tolzman and Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Tolzman of LeCenter, Mr. & Mrs. Albert Stoering, Mr. & Mrs. Louis Hallinger and Ceila Ann and Mr. and Mrs. James Pittman of Waterville, Mr. & Mrs. John Kenny of Faribault, Mr. Geo Stoering of Underwood, ND, Mr & Mrs. Wm Weegman, and Mr. & Mrs. Fred Becker and Ed of Park Rapids; also friends and relatives from Fergus Falls, Pelican Rapids, Dalton and the
