Modena Dunn, 83, of Celeste, died Friday, April 6, 2010 in Leonard Manor.

No funeral services are scheduled.

Mrs. Dunn was born in the Mexico community in Hunt County on Jan. 12, 1927.

She was the daughter of Jerry Mars Lowe and Verdie Pamie Gambrell Lowe.

She was married to L. D.. Dunn in 1951.

He preceded her in death.

She was retired from Greenville Pant Manufacturing Company and was a Baptist.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Dunn and his wife Joanna of Celeste; granddaughters Jessica Grinstead and husband Steven of Garland; and Shelley Nunnelee and husband Rusty of McKinney; great-granddaughter Emma Grinstead of Garland; sister Viola Bagwell of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dunn was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters Inez Maxwell, Frances Kohn and Annie Mae Lashaun; and brothers Dillard Lowe, Herbert Lowe and M. J. Lowe.

Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
