DELORIS JEAN PEYTON JACKSON, 74, of Memphis, widow of James Ernest "Hank" Jackson, alumni of Booker T. Washington and Tennessee State University, retired educator from Memphis City Schools, member of NEA, TEA and MEA, faithful member of Mt. Olive CME Cathedral Church where she served the Board of Christian Education, Sunday School and Progressive Adult Club died on Thursday, April 15, 2010. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 3-5 p.m. at Harrison's Funeral Home Chapel, 2647 Carnes Avenue. Graveside service Wednesday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd. Her memory will be cherished by her brothers, Dr. Reginald Peyton and Oliver Peyton, her caregiver and granddaughters, Ernestine Tate and Ariel C.
