Vera Louise Mayberry, 70, of Flora, IL died at 1:00 AM Saturday, April 17, 2010, at her home in Flora.
She was born November 20, 1939 in Flora to Merle Victor & Freda Louveda (Vail) Wheeler. She married Arthur Ray Mayberry on June 3, 1961 in Shawneetown, IL. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2007.
Vera was a homemaker, a member of Bloom Baptist Church, and she loved dogs, enjoyed CB radio, listening to country music, bird watching, and doing crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her children: Anthony Ray Mayberry of Flora, Gregory Allen Mayberry of Flora, Troy Mayberry of Flora, Rodney Eugene Mayberry & wife Freida of Louisville, and Annette LeaDawn King & husband Delmar of Dundas; 2 sisters: Martha Wieldt of Atoka, OK and Rebecca Jean Grogan of Texas; 19 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters (Sharon Ray Wheeler & Lois Eastin), and 1 brother (Gerald Dean Wheeler). Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday (April 20, 2010) at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora.
Burial will be in Bunker Cemetery, Rinard. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Monday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to that of the donor's choice.
