Charlie Wray, 77, a beloved resident of the Coffee Pot community, died Monday, March 26, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were conducted at his home Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock with Rev. Gerald Smith officiating. Burial was at New Garden Cemetery, Rainey of Ardmore in charge.
A member of the Baptist church for several years, he was known as a Christian man and leaves a wide circle of friends to mourn his passing.
Besides the widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Brizendine of Dallas, Texas, and six sons, John Wray of Athens, Rube Wray of Missouri, Pete Wray and Oscar Wray of Dallas, Texas, Andy Wray of Arizona, and Ovie Wray of Columbus, Ga.
